Ninety-One Lacrosse is dedicated to bringing together competitive, ambitious young athletes in an effort to enhance skills and improve their knowledge and love of the game through intense, educational practices, exciting tournaments and experienced, hard-working coaches.It is our goal to coach youth teams to be competitive and to share our knowledge of the game. Now, we're able to do that through Ninety-One Lacrosse travel teams, for both boys and girls. We will provide the skills and understanding to keep pace with the fastest growing sport in the world, thanks to our staff of high school and college coaches, as well as professional lacrosse players.
Why Brian Spallina and Ninety-One Lacrosse?
Brian's various experiences and successes as a player, coach and educator encouraged him to establish Ninety-One Lacrosse. Ninety-One Lacrosse is an organization that prides itself on teaching at the highest level in a competitive, but friendly and most importantly, fun environment. Brian's experience includes:
Educating
- A Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education
- He is currently an elementary teacher at Smith Street School in Uniondale
Coaching
- He has coached at the high school varsity level and successfully coached South Side to a NY State Class B championship before heading off to Adelphi University.
- He is currently coaching the men's defensive unit for Adelphi and shares many head coaching responsibilities. It is his second year at Adelphi and he is looking forward to competing for a national title this year.
- He is co-owner of Pro Player Lacrosse Camp, where he coaches over 600 kids each summer.
Playing
- He has been a member of the Philadelphia Barrage for four years. In those four years he has anchored a defensive unit that has won three out of the last four MLL championships.
- He was chosen as a captain for the Barrage for all 4 years and was a tournament All-Star.
- Prior to playing in Philadelphia, he played on the Long Island Lizards where he won a fourth MLL title, the most of any other player in the league.
- His college experience consists of four years at Division I Hofstra University where he received All-American honors his junior and senior years.
